Renfrewshire Council appoint Connaught to deliver home improvements

July 3rd 2010
Renfrewshire Council has appointed Connaught Partnerships Ltd to deliver part of a planned four year investment to properties in the area.
The partnership, with a value estimated at approximately £15 million, will see Connaught deliver kitchen, bathroom and central heating improvements to 370 properties in the first year of the contract,
Bill Coghill, Connaught regional director for Scotland, said: “We are delighted to announce the partnership with Renfrewshire Council and we are looking forward to delivering improvements to the homes of customers across the area.
“With our national base established nearby in Glasgow we are well positioned to bring our wealth of experience to the area. The investment programme will not only bring physical improvements but will also offer employment, training opportunities and work experience for local people while we will also look to make a lasting contribution to the local community.”
Connaught entered the Scottish social rented housing market place in 2004 and through partnerships with clients including Glasgow Housing Association, Argyll Community Housing Association and Dumfries & Galloway Housing Partnership now has a workforce numbering in excess of 500 in Scotland alone.
