Free makeover brings a new lease of life to Chesham CAB

July 31st 2009

Chesham Citizens Advice Bureau (CAB) has received a much-needed free makeover courtesy of the partners working to bring repairs and improvements to Paradigm Housing Group properties in the area.

Paradigm Housing Group and Connaught Partnerships Ltd, in addition to supply chain partners Bensons, swung into action to give the CAB support in improving the interior of their dated-looking offices. The improvements, completed during operatives own time over a weekend, included decorating, structural works, electrical works and the shifting of an internal wall.

Ian Nixey, manager of the local CAB commented on the work carried out by the team: “It is extremely gratifying to see the partners come together to get this work done so promptly and with the minimum fuss to provide the people of Chesham with a more welcoming Citizens Advice Bureau. The response from us all at Chiltern CAB is that we’re delighted with the professional manner in which the work has been done. The end result is that we now have a fourth interview room which will reduce waiting times for clients.”

David John, Connaught’s Customer Experience Manager, said: “Connaught is thrilled to be working in partnership with Paradigm Housing Group and to see so many of the team donate their own time to this project shows how keen we all are to help bring real benefit to the local community.”

Connaught is working in partnership with Paradigm Housing to provide planned works, responsive repairs, void improvements and gas servicing over the duration of a 10 year contract.
